More of 2012: the year in review

It's just as hard to follow that amazing fish now as it was this summer. Thankfully, our awesome guides always come through and our clients caught many other fish that bring a smile to my face. Here are a few more of our 'greatest hits' from this year:

This lovely fish taped out to 8'1"

Approximately 8'6" fish - photo courtesy of Carl and his fishing partner (pictured above)

Another photo from Carl's trip - he got some great shots that he was kind enough to share with us. I always love to see photos of sturgeon jumping - its a great reminder of the strength and power that these giants have.

Steve's monster Birthday Sturgeon! a 3m beauty

Henry Waszczuk from Fins and Skins came out to see us this year. He took advantage of some great golf at the Sandpiper Golf Resort, and then caught a very nice not-quite-8' sturgeon to top it all off.

How do you take a sunny day on the river and make it better? Add a 10' plus sturgeon!!

Mike fishes with us a few times each year, and its no wonder he keeps coming back, when he seems to always catch fish in this size range! This particular fish measured 8'4"

Another great group, with another great fish. This time 8'3"

The hook set on this fish was masterfully done by this angler's daughter (who is a grade five student!), and the whole family got to be a part of the experience of landing a 9 foot fish.

The best part of all of these photos, is that the fish were caught on so many different boats! I'm so lucky to work with such a great group of guides, and to never have to worry about who I'm sending clients out with. No matter what, I know they will get the best experience on the river with any one of our guys.

We are already looking forward to next year, and we are already starting to book up! The pinks will be running, so no matter what I am looking forward to a better salmon season. With all of the extra food in the system, we should see much more consistent sturgeon fishing as well. August through October is going to book fast, so if you are thinking about coming you should give us a call sooner rather than later.

We also have Gift Certificates available in any denomination, so if you are looking for a gift for the angler who has everything on your Christmas list, you might want to consider the gift of a day on the river.

There are only two weeks left until Christmas, so I don't think it's too early to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, and all the best for 2013, from Tony and all of us here at BCSFG.
