The results are in...very late!

The tournament did indeed wrap up as scheduled, prizes were distributed, celebration occurred...and I forgot to click "publish" on my blog post!

The 2nd Annual Harrison Sturgeon Challenge wrapped up with a very tasty banquet dinner on Friday, and of course the prizes. The first day winners held out till the end this year:

Largest fish of the event went to Ronnie, with a 241cm beauty! This fish was followed closely by a 235cm fish caught by Kirsten.

The team of Dave, Kirsten and Mike improved on their first day total of 854 combined centimeters by adding 1cm, and finished first with a combined total of 855cm of the four largest sturgeon caught on their boat!

Congratulations to everyone who participated this year - I know that the fishing was challenging at times (it wouldn't be a Sturgeon Challenge if it was easy!) but overall we saw some amazing fish caught, and I know that everyone had a great time.

Thank you again to all of our sponsors:  Tourism Harrison, The Old Settler Pub, Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa, Shimano, and the Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Society.

Next years' event is already 2/3 SOLD OUT!! We only have 5 boats available, so if you are thinking about coming out, I would recommend calling as soon as possible to reserve your team's space.
