April fishing *Updated!

So far, April is starting off with a bang!
And not some kind of explosive set off by a well-meaning friend or coworker on April Fool's day either - the kind of bang where the rod jumps almost out of its holder and the sturgeon on the other end goes mad!

The weather is steadily getting nicer, and water temperatures are on the rise as well. This means emerging salmon fry for trout to feast on, and very feisty sturgeon.

This past weekend was amazing - our clients landed 3 fish over 7 feet, with another handful just shy of the 7' mark, and plenty of very feisty "smaller" fish.

This weekend, we also hosted the first group of anglers here from Alberta with Keith Rae of Get Hooked Fishing Adventures. Cathy and her boys finished their weekend off with this awesome fish: it taped out to a hefty 8'9"!
