August fishing and September opening!!

It has been a while since our last post - this is mostly due to the sockeye run. It's been four years since we've had an opening to retain these delicious salmon, and everyone's eagerness to hit the River is very apparent! The phones have been ringing off the hook, and the guides have been out there every day looking for what is arguably the best table-fare in the salmon world for our clients.

There have been a few longer commercial openings, meaning that some days we are having to work to find them, but overall it has been a successful August! The run does not show signs of slowing down, which is great news for September fishing.

Tyee Spring/Chinook/King on the Fraser River!

On that note, we have just gotten word that one of our groups are unable to hold their annual derby this year and have had to cancel - this has opened up several boats for us on September 16th. If you are thinking about coming out, I would recommend jumping on this opportunity because these spaces will fill in fast.

Heading in to the fall, we will see the late run of Chinook salmon moving in, along with Coho and Chum towards the end of September and into October. We still have some select availability in October as well - if salmon fishing doesn't interest you, come out to experience the incredible sturgeon fishing that October brings. The weather is still mild, and the fish are biting!

Remember last year's 10'8"?? She was caught and released last October!
