Well, the moment we've been talking about alllll year is about to arrive....the Sockeye opening!!
As of today, retention has opened in the tidal portions of the Fraser River. On Wednesday, the non-tidal areas as well as the Harrison River will be open for retention of 2 Sockeye per person, per day.
First sockeye landed while bar fishing for springs on Friday... had to release this one, but we should see numbers increasing and many more arriving in the next few days!
We still have some availability throughout the month, but it won't last long. Give us a call ASAP if you'd like to get out for a few hours to put some of these incredibly tasty fish in the freezer! Better yet, book a 6 or 8 hour trip and follow sockeye fishing with sturgeon!
